Martin Michniak
Martin was born on 25th of January 1986 in Žilina, city in the north of the heart of Europe - Slovakia, currently living in Slovak capital - Bratislava.
The DJ
Back in 2009, after one of the parties, Martin decided to make all his dreams come true, so he bought professional DJ gear and started to learn mixing and beatmatching by himself, in his bedroom. After a while, Martin started to record his sets and sent them to contests whenever it was possible - for example afterhours.fm End of Year Countdown Contest or ASOT 500 Bedroom DJs Contest.
After less than a year of training, Martin get in touch with the owner of travel agency organising partybus journeys to various parties all over the Europe. This contact was really important, because in the beginning of summer 2010, Martin get the opportunity to show what he learned so far. 6-hour drive to Prague for Sensation Wicked Wonderland and 3-hours long solo set was really exciting start of the career.
The huge career kick-off came 2 months later. Martin performed at the biggest Slovak electronic dance music festival BeeFree. This performance made huge impact on his career, Martin's set had great feedback and invitations to bigger and bigger parties started to come very soon after the festival.
Martin's popularity started to grow rapidly, what lead to his first gig in foreign country - Intensive with Bryan Kearney at the club 7.nebe, Brno, Czech republic.
In that time, Martin became a resident DJ of one of the best club parties in Slovakia - Addictive Party and also resident DJ of Partybus journeys.
Without discussion, one of Martin's successes is also broadcasting his set during the second Slovakia In The Mix session on world-wide known internet radio afterhours.fm, where he played besides the best Slovak trance DJs and producers like Nifra, Styller or ReOrder.
During his DJ career, Martin have played with these well known DJs: Ali Wilson, Ronski Speed, Laidback Luke, Sidney Samson, Bryan Kearney, Myon & Shane 54, Ferry Tayle, Simon Patterson and Paul Webster.
The producer
Passion for the music bring Martin to the point, where he decided to bring something from his own. In these days Martin is spending as much his free time as possible in the studio working on his own production. There is a lot of things to learn when it comes to music production, but Martin wants to come with his own track this year.
Soundvision
Interest in the same kind of music joined Martin with Johnny Da Fox back in 2009. They became a very good friends and as the time past, Martin gave Johnny few mixing lessons. This connection - passion for the music and DJing, ended into establishing collaboration in the summer 2010. Martin and Johnny after few tries chose the name Soundvision.
Soundvision duo came with idea to create and broadcast their own radioshow, which lead into the Soundvision Podcast, which is available on iTunes. The podcast had unexpected success, as the episodes were listened 3000+ times each.
Martin and Johnny also performed as a DJ duo, they played on several parties and they are known for their emotional and energic sound in their sets.
